Oily Skin

Oily Skin Type - Skincare Routine

Oily Skin

Oily skin is characterized by your skin producing too much sebum, or oil, across your entire face, which generally lends to having larger pores and are prone to acne or regular breakouts.

Cleanse
For oily skin, you should cleanse your face twice per day...morning and night with the Herbal Cleanser. Using a mix of botanicals, this cleanser will help calm and balance your complexion while opening your pores and infusing vitamins into your skin.

Exfoliators & Masks
It is best to exfoliate 1-3 times per week, and the recommended exfoliating masks for oily skin are listed in more detail on the reverse side.

Toner
For oily skin opt for the Herbal Toner. This yarrow-based toner gently calms, hydrates, and refreshes your complexion, and is a natural antiseptic to work at minimizing harmful bacteria on your skin.

Treatment
Treatments are products which target a specific issue(s) which need to be addressed. Recommended Treatment Products include

  • Oceanic Face Cooling Infusion - scientifically proven to have anti inflammatory, healing, and soothing properties. It’s the perfect serum for sensitive skin because it reduces redness, irritation, and inflammation
  • Oil Control Formula which minimizes your pores, prevents acne, reduces shine, and cools your skin.
  • Healing Formula is excellent at soothing irritation and accelerating healing.

Moisturize

If you have combination skin, the following moisturizers are recommended.

  • Oceanic Acne Defense Lotion - crafted with sea sponges and extracts, this lotion has significant antibacterial properties to aid with acne and scarring.
  • Sea Buckthorn Lotion is abundant in antioxidants like vitamins C and E, and is known for its restorative and rejuvenating properties.
  • Antiwrinkle Liposome Moisturizer is great for those that have oily skin as well as rosacea

Oily Skin - Masks & Exfoliators

Exfoliators & Masks

Exfoliating and masking are a critical part of the skincare routine because exfoliating your skin removes dead skin cells that can make skin look dull and lackluster. Masks are equally as important as they focus on a specific treatment, such as addressing dark spots or adding hydration. For Oily Skin Types, the following masks are all great options. Pick one to try or mix and match! Best part...they are all exfoliating masks, so they do two steps in one and saves you from buying two different products. Say hello to glowing, radiant skin!

Oceanic Resurfacing Mask
This exfoliating mask has spicules from marine sponges that penetrate your skin and deliver micronutrients to deeper levels of your skin, accelerating the natural skin-renewing processes. Copper peptides promote collagen production and skin elasticity by firming, tightening, and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. This should not be used for those with sensitive skin.

Crushed Copper Purifying Mask
This mask deeply purifies with copper powder and also rebuilds and firms your skin by stimulating the regeneration of proteins. Activated charcoal and kaolin clay work together to draw out impurities and toxins from your pores. The essential blend of trace minerals and electrolytes in fulvic acid reduces scarring and discolorations. It also improves your skin’s protective barrier, balances your microbiome, and prevents future breakouts. This mask can cause a stinging sensation so it is not recommended for those with sensitive skin.

Probiotic Polish
By adding healthy bacteria to your skin as well as gently exfoliating, this mask is perfect to use in the shower to give your skin a healthy glow throughout the day. Perfect for all skin types, but especially good for those with redness/rosacea or acne prone skin.

As a final step of your skincare routine, be sure to protect your skin by applying Sun Shelter, Probiotic Colour or the Crushed Powder Foundation which contains SPF.
